I’m 100 pages in and it’s starting to feel like a slog. The prose is lyrical and lovely, but nothing is actually happening and I do feel the absence of a plot. Reads a bit like a friend’s very long text describing a dream they had.

One of my favorite books of all time, and I don’t even identify as butch. A story about being authentic, no matter the cost.
