This is my audiobook choice for the month and I do NOT like the narrator's take on it at all. Her generic narrator voice is so soft-spoken she's almost whispering, like this is some ASMR/self-help tape or something, but then there are moments where she suddenly sounds far too theatrical. Then her character voice work is all over the map, and with many characters being male, it does not work at all.

Lol was NOT expecting the spice. Not my thing, kind of cracked me up though b/c I was so totally not expecting it

Welp, I think I'm shifting into hate reading this now. This is just unbelievable, stupid, and unbelievably stupid.

Oh for God's sake. This is the dumbest thing I've ever read.

OK, yeah, it's a full-on hate-read now. Everyone in this book is obnoxious.

This is sooooooooooooooooo dumb. I might DNF. The main character is the definition of a wet blanket--it's not cute--and it's just got ALL the clichés.

This is profoundly silly, even ludicrous. But it's light(ish) and is a good break away from the other books I'm reading.

Listening to this one because I read that the narrator was wonderful, and it's true. I'm absolutely captivated. Chapter 12 and this is shaping up to be a favorite of the year.

I'm never buying another property by this man, but I'm going to read through what I have already. My husband got me the entire Sandman box set for my birthday a few years ago, and I'd feel terrible not at least finishing it out.

Feeling very conflicted about this due to the narrator, but at least the story is fun and written by someone I like and respect. It's silly and goofy but it's well acted, and I'm a long for the ride.

This is very reminiscent of Station 11, which makes me really want to reread Station 11!

Setting this aside for a while. The snark and gore aren't quite the mood I'm looking for at this time of year.

I just don't like this at all. I don't like the tone, I don't like the characters. I think I might've moved on from slice of life mini dramas. DNFing.

I loved this book when I read the physical copy; now that Audible is bundled with Amazon Music Unlimited, which I've used for years, I'm taking a friend's advice and listening to it. 16 chapters in so far and very much loving it. Amazing voice cast.

Well if this isn't just absurdly delightful.

Hmm. Haven't been scared or spooked once. So far, it's mostly been a sad tale.

Time for something seriously scary.

How can I possibly NOT read a book with this title?!

This is dense, lovely, a teensy bit melodramatic, and not nearly as earth-shattering as so many make it out to be, but I do have 600 pages to go, so...yeah
