I forgot exactly how dark this series can get. It's definitely tough going, but there is very little like it out there!

I'm enjoying just plodding along with this on audio book. Jim Norton is absolutely incredible!

Onto the end we go! Really looking forward to seeing how this one wraps up.

The pace has slowed down a little from the opening while the various pieces get positioned, but I'm enjoying this a lot. I'm looking forward to a bit of a 'convergence' soon!

I'm enjoying it, but finding it very difficult to read more than 20 pages at a time.

Thoroughly enjoying this - I love the film, and having an extra layer of depth to everything with the book is a great experience.

The different plans for crafting larger devices are really interesting. Destiny is really about end-game content so it might not be relevant for quite some time, but there is definitely some good stuff in here.

Some nice character changes - I really like that the Jack can take lower tier abilities from the other classes, and player intrusions are a great narrative choice.

Giving the updated rulebook a read after picking them up in the Humble Bundle - seriously the deal is amazing! Looking at the contents it doesn't look like much has changed here, but Destiny has a ton of new content so am looking forward to that.

The Silent Houses are definitely making an appearance in my campaign!

I'm not forgetting about this - still enjoying things plenty!

Into the last stretch! I'm fully invested now - in typical Sanderson fashion, it's nothing revolutionary but everything is polished as hell.

I definitely remember this section being a bit of a slog. I'm still enjoying it but I'm ready for the focus to shift away from the Shattered Plains, if only for a while.

I was hoping I would enjoy this based on the description, and I am pleasantly surprised with just how much I'm enjoying it. I'm still somewhat skeptical about self-published books and the variance in quality, but this is looking like a home-run.

A lot more politics this time around - not that that's a bad thing, but this definitely feels like a second book in a trilogy.

I'm enjoying this a lot more than Kings of the Wyld, which I feel is the obvious comparison here. Kings felt a bit too hyperactive and forced, whereas Orconomics has a much more natural humour to it, so far at least.

A lot more insight into the politics of the Hexarch here - I'm really enjoying it!
