Where's the build up. We skipped steps I find this unbelievable and boring :/

This is my first time listening to a Dramatized Adaptation Audiobook so I guess we'll be seeing if I like the format 😅

The entire mid of this book is these two leaving the group to head back early to warn their home of the danger, but they barely try to warn them and no one listens, and the rest od the group comes back only a day later anyways, so it felt like this was all for nothing....
