Winds Over Jerusalem tell of the struggle of 2 nurses sent to Jerusalem by Hadassah at the urging of Henrietta Szold. Rae Landry and Rose Kaplan arrived Jerusalem in February 1913. The conditions they included lack of sanitation, extreme poverty, lack of prenatal talll for mother and infant, preventable blindness as well as other diseases.
