William! ❤️❤️❤️ I'm glad I have so much happening here at home that I am having to read a little at a time!

I'm feeling a bit stressed haha!

5 out of 70 stories read. I did not appreciate the story that was essentially a cliffhanger (Ava Bond's)

So glad to have this book! So far it is quite good. A very relatable heroine. I do think, however, the hero's objection to marrying the heroine is pretty weak.

This is a fun reread!

Typically I think I'd be raging at the hero, but I don't think I can blame him for his assumptions. I also can't blame the very tired and hormonal heroine.

Our hero is strong against unknown entities but weak when it comes to standing up to those he knows. So he is coming off like a weak-willed coward. Our heroine stands up strongly against the hero nor is she straight with him - to the point of looking ridiculous - but cannot hold her own against harsh tongues. She also wants to walk alone all over the city potentially putting her in the TSTL category. We'll see.

Oh my heart.

I am listening to this when working - the narrator is pretty awful. I may try to find a print copy instead.

A villainess to reform! Yay!

This mystery in this book has really pulled me in. I am also appreciative of the tension between the main characters. However, I do hope it moves from being a mystery into being a romance soon!

Oh yikes! I literally found myself saying -out loud - oh no! No No No! Poor Cass!

Lane is doing a magnificent job of making me feel badly for Cass. My heart is definitely going out for him.

Thrilled. I could not be more thrilled that I am reading this book. An actual villain from a previous book looking for reformation!

With such a cheesy (but fun) title, I wasn't expecting to get so involved in this story. But even though I have a ton of stuff to do, the main plot and the subplot are going to make sure I am reading the morning away!

This book seriously has one of the best heroines I've ever read. I ❤️ her!

A very short dress with a split to the navel up front and is essentially backless as well? It would not stay in place without loads of body tape.

Talk about a slow burn! This has been *very* slow to even get to lukewarm. Even so - the story is very good. I hope there is more relationship development between the heroine and Angelique.

I am absolutely loving this couple and am really rooting for them!

Okay so this got much better about halfway in. The heroine stopped acting like she wasn't the smart woman she was supposed to be.

A person takes care of you, your vomit, and does your dishes and you still have doubts, questions, and thoughts of meanness towards them?

Started out strong. However, at this point I am beginning to be annoyed with the heroine. For a woman that is supposed to be intelligent she is coming across as weak and socially dense. I am also not caring for the first person pov and that could possibly be the underlying reason behind my irritation.

Wow! What a beginning! An angry tortured hero and a heroine that wants to save him and his estate? Mixed in with seems to be a lot of secrets? Yes please!

I am listening to this book on audio.
I volunteered to drive my children 1.5 hours to an overnight 4H camp just so I could have the 1.5 hour drive back alone to listen to this book. Now, even though it's Saturday, I am going in to work so I can get a couple more hours of listening in!

I don't want to stop!
