I'm going to DNF this for now and hopefully return to it as a physically copy one day. It is just a bit hard to follow on audiobook.

This is an estimation, as my hold expired, as well as my library card and I don't have the money to renew it atm. I tried really hard to finish but this was way more murder/detective mystery than cryptid creepy so it was hard to stay interested.

The way I'm straight FALLING into this book! It's a feeling I have not had in so long and it's delicious.

I usually try to get to 50 pages in a random read before dnfing but this book is kind of annoying to me. There are so many different perspectives but the chapters are so short and some of the perspectives are very abstract. Plus I don't like the writing style. So many sentences are ridiculously redundant.

Ran out of time on the audiobook. Will return.

I am enjoying this but I ran out of time on Libby, so I'll have to wait in the holds list again. D':

Look, I'm far from a prude, but these every-other-page sex scenes are making this hard to get through.

This wasn't terrible (I did make it to 50 pages, which is my "rule" for random reads) but it's definitely not for me and I'm going to DNF it. I got enough of the flavor to recommend it appropriately, I think. I do also admire the author's ability to make the two characters sound different in their chapters.

I really want to finish this but I think it's a bit heavy right now. :/

I'm going to have to buy this to finish it cause the library needs it back. 'XD

Dying while being forced to listen to Christmas music is indeed a true horror.

DNF'ing at 224pgs because we're not going to read it together anymore. I thought it was pretty slow and boring anyway.

DNF. I was really trying to pull through but it's just not holding my interest. I don't even know what's going on during the historical part because I'm not really interested in war.

I feel like I'm DNF'ing everything this year but that's how it goes sometimes I guess...

Begrudgingly DNFing. I understand this is a Young Adult novel and it is interesting and readable. But the logical leaps that the author wants you to take are too much for me. Including the personality of the MC herself. Also, it is a bit over the top with the traumaporn. I could write more, but I digress.

DNFing. I understand I'm a bit too old for this but the terrible tropes are KILLING ME.

Ugh. I hate when authors drug the main character and something shocking somehow magically sobers them up.

Just like The Hunger Games, this book would be so much better without the unnecessary love triangle and misogynistic male pissing contests.

DNFing at 87 pages. I don't know if it's me or the book but I'm not really feeling picking it up.

Maybe I need to pause on the relationship books or just get them in physical copies since I don't seem to be finishing them lately... (DNF for now.)
