The narrative is so compelling. Majumdar paints an incredibly accurate picture of both the geography and the soul of Kolkata through her words. The story is fast-paced, and I’ve loved every page so far.

The plot has been okay so far. Kuang’s description of academia is, though, pretty spot-on.

This is a fun read!

What began as a slightly dreamlike, yet mundane, tale of Mr. Okada sipping coffee and searching for a missing cat suddenly plunged into the story of how the mysterious Yamamoto was skinned alive in the heart of the vast Mongolian desert. It’s jarring, surreal, and utterly captivating. I’m thrilled to finally be immersing myself in the strange world of Haruki Murakami.

So dreamy.

Probably not the best idea to start reading Toni Morrison with Beloved. After struggling through the first 50 pages, I think I’m finally getting the hang of it!

Entering the last 30-something pages of her story. This has been an epic read!!!
