unfortunately i am finding this to be extremely boring

haven’t had much time to read this week but every article i see about emily wilson proves i was right in finding her extremely annoying

finally finished all the introductory stuff which was honestly a little annoying. it’s so interesting to me that Wilson insists on being extremely progressive about stuff that doesn’t really matter much but also refuses to mention Palestine in her description of the Fertile Crescent like pick a lane girl! (also yes this was written in 2018 but it’s not like Israel was good then)

i honestly haven’t been able to read this because i can’t focus in my house but i will get there

my goodreads counted a book towards my reading goal twice and thank GOD because I cannot complete my reading challenge with a shitty book

she lost me when she started being anti “wages for labor”

that one bitch that doesn’t play about children’s liberation

lately i have been impulsively picking with my reading choices and absolutely hating them but thank god this one is short so it will be over sooner :)

have to seriously lock in because my loan ends on thursday

Why do I keep reading memoirs by people I don't really care about

Been listening since yesterday morning, kind of depressing but also extremely freeing

i don't think this is the point but i kinda really like the main character...

omg didn't know this took place in the Buendia universe

- felt so long and i am soooooo behind on my reading schedule
- kind of a huge David fan
- thought i might be an old testament fan but maybe no?

In a bit of a reading slump but also I keep checking out books from the library that have a waitlist so I keep getting interrupted in my reading/:

Ruth Thoughts:
- why is this one so short?
- pleasant break from constant violence

Judges Thoughts:
- a bit of a snooze but at least it was easier to read than some other books
- story of Gibeah is insane

Joshua Thoughts
- was much more inspired to do some historical research on my own after reading this
- need a biblical map

this book is sooooo English

I can’t renew my hold at the library so I have to pause this but I refuse to dnf…not a bad book, just nothing new for me

Deuteronomy Thoughts:
- okay now we are getting somewhere
- i can’t stress enough how repetitive this book is but this book was more moving than the last two

this is the first book i am reading on my kobo but i want to dnf sooooo bad

calling illegitimate children “by-blows” is really gross to me /:

I was super intimidated by the length of this book at first but I really cannot stop listening and I am only stopping for the day because I cannot start having Ted Bundy nightmares again

Numbers Thoughts:
-still very repetitive but we are getting somewhere at least
- i love that they did let women have their inheritances
-i get that he needs to lay out the rules but i am tired of the list of offerings like i do not care how many goats you get

wait this one is actually showing a little promise

becoming an audiobook queen this year

being self righteous about not voting for anyone is really getting a little tired

oh brother…
