Having to force myself to finish this one. Have found only one possibly redeemable and appealing character in the whole mess and it is definitely not the H or h, both Iof which I despise.

Holy crap, this book! I’m lacking sleep bc I don’t want to stop! If you are a documentary nerd like me and know all about the Donner party, DAMN, but this is an amazing take on it all!!!

Um, torturing myself with this because I have had my own Plymouth novel knocking about my brain for ages now, and want to see what is written. This is smack on the Christian Bible Romance where bringing one of the protagonists to Christ is the ultimate life story. (Yes, I just threw up in my mouth) And this historical inaccuracies are hilarious.

Uuuuuugh, you borrow one “clean” romance on Hoopla and suddenly you are being recommended all the Christian books. Hoopla really needs a genre tag n their listings so I can avoid mistakes like this. Story has potential (and damn, I wanted this to be like Mercy Street) but the writing (and narrator’s mispronunciation) is making me want to fling this across the room.
