this is a tough read

reading this book feels like walking the camino🫩

cute so far, not sure how i feel about memoirs these days. very excited to see what mccarthy has to share about his journey though. father-son stories always get me 😪🤧

ALL MORNING, at work, i talked about how i have become obsessed with the vietnam war because of this book. im fully transported within the first few seconds every time i crack this book open: it’s all i can think about. after work, i raced home, laid out a blanket under my parent’s ponderosa pine, and have been rhythmically flipping these pages for two hours. i am OBSESSED. cant wait to read more tonight! hehe
