Less than 20 pages in and considering DNFing based on the writing.. someone tell me if it’s worth it to continue

Enjoying this one and v much need to get back into it and finish it. The family drama of it all, the way all these stories intertwine - it’s been good, if a bit confusing to know who’s talking and what timeline we’re in sometimes.

So far really liking this one! Already feeling a buildup to a big turning point and hoping that momentum carries through the rest of the book

Friends the cheesiness of this dialogue, the constant musical references (heartbeats like a metronome, “every fermata between breaths seems way too long”) and how often they call each other by their pet names.. it’ll be my undoing istg

People are calling the dynamic between Knox and Rogue platonic? PLATONIC??? Their tension is fking insane and I feel like it’s going to be WASTED 😭

relationships between the boys are evolving, the plot has reappeared, and maybe we'll actually get somewhere

32 pgs in and these authors are already pissing me off with her “not like other girls” Celine is. There are ways of characterizing your FMCs that don’t rely on the most tired ways of talking down to other women 🙄
To say nothing about the awful dialogue and how cringey the exposition is in trying to be funny/relatable.

95% smut 5% plot
I don't even care about the smut anymore. it's not even that the relationships are all happy and settled bc Vincent is apparently holding onto some deep dark secret that he refuses to share with the class. Im just hoping that SOME conflict comes from that eventually.

I want to see the resolution but having to skim this much smut in a 468 pg book is fking unreal
