I know I read this book less than a year ago but I couldn’t resist picking it up for a reread after seeing the band live. This really might be one of my all time favourite pieces of music writing

Just finished the titular story. Not quite what I had hoped given all the hype about it I’ve seen, but it was okay. Good read if you enjoyed the corruption episodes of the Magnus archives.

Not sure how im feeling about this one at the moment, the structure is a bit odd and the feminist analysis so far has been kind of all over the place and far too post modern for my sensibilities. Still interesting to read about the historical stuff and there are moments of good analysis that give me hope for the rest of it.

I swear I’ll finish a book before starting a new one someday soon I swear

But I’m LOVING this collection so far, not a single one has missed yet

There’s something very brutal and real about the way Leigh writes traumatised women that you don’t come across very often. I’m so glad Alex and Hellie smashed all those men’s heads in

Genuinely depressing how this book came out in 2005 and so much of it still rings completely true. The attitudes are the same today, just with new set dressing

Really interesting tour of intra-movement conflicts in to mid-late 20th century

Ahhh I’m so excited I FINALLY got my hands on a copy of this book!! I am loving it so far, Levy’s insights are incisive but it’s very readable. My highlighter is getting a real workout haha

This book literally changed my life as a teenager and reading it again is just as wonderful
