Forgot to put this on goodreads until now oops! I found this one a bit of a slower burn than the last few and the first couple hundred pages didn’t have me totally rapt, but by the middle the tension was crazy and I’ve been enjoying it as much as the other strike books since robin’s escape from the farm. I just really enjoy reading about the grind of detective work and the interactions between strike and robin

I know I read this book less than a year ago but I couldn’t resist picking it up for a reread after seeing the band live. This really might be one of my all time favourite pieces of music writing

Just finished the titular story. Not quite what I had hoped given all the hype about it I’ve seen, but it was okay. Good read if you enjoyed the corruption episodes of the Magnus archives.

Not sure how im feeling about this one at the moment, the structure is a bit odd and the feminist analysis so far has been kind of all over the place and far too post modern for my sensibilities. Still interesting to read about the historical stuff and there are moments of good analysis that give me hope for the rest of it.

I swear I’ll finish a book before starting a new one someday soon I swear

But I’m LOVING this collection so far, not a single one has missed yet
