I disagree that faith is the opposite of intellect or science, however I do understand that to create a Big Baddie, one might use extremes, and this is a popular one among the anti-religious. Also, I can kind of see the hatred and control that some religious folks emanate that would lead to this sort of critique.

I dread finishing this... bc that means I'll have to miss Vis, Diago and Eidhin for another year (or however long it is until book 3)
