Now listen, I rated this book 3 stars after reading it the first time & joined in on the hate that was being thrown colleen hoovers way regarding this read.
I went into the second read bc of the movie. And I wanted to be entertained. I am.
But, one point that definitely keeps my rating low is the writing... what 15/16 year old girl writes long ass entries like Lily? Idk.... imma finish it tho

A very dense read - The way it gets my brain churning tho, I love it. And I respect it wholeheartedly. It is very well written and evokes SO much thought, I know for a fact everyone that reads this book perceives it SO differently. And that is beautiful.

slowly getting through this one...
unfortunately, I am so disappointed in this book so far :( I loved the bodyguard and giggled the whole time I was reading it - it was silly and the characters were likeable. this book commits a cardinal sin - giving the character few (and in my opinion no/none) redeemable qualities.
If you maybe relate to this character, you might like this book - she comes across as selfish IMO

i am a glutton for punishment at this point - don't get me wrong, the writing is precise and descriptive in a way that intrigues me... but i am exhausted by the dislike i hold for the characters and the way each perspective is relentlessly given an outlet for the reader to consume.
