Holy foreshadowing. I’m scared.

Is she writing to Graham? I don’t know if this book is supposed to be happy or sad or what. Is 1793 disappearing? And what is the gov hiding? The mysterious device thing is weird and it’s definitely sus that Adela didn’t read the reports. There could be a secret goal that the reports aren’t relevant to, and the gov is using those as a front do the bridges don’t get suspicious.

So glad Adrian believes her. I wonder if the parents will start getting signs from Anya and start believing Mallory as well. When Ted was drunk he said that they could live anywhere but the mom wanted to live in Spring Brook. I was thinking that maybe she chose this house bc of Anya and she has some plot, but idek how that would work and there have been so signs of that. I just feel like smth more needs to happen

It’s definitely supernatural lmfao. The reviews on the back make it sound like there are some twists, so hopefully those happen soon. Idk if I should be suspicious of any of the characters bc Anya died ages ago, so they obviously weren’t involved. I find the latest drawings kind of funny bc atp I feel like Anya is trying to flex her drawing skills. We don’t need to shade in the sky to understand she was killed.

I’m not sure if this book explores fictional horror elements, but the parents seem good and the son says he doesn’t know who the man is, so the ghost thing seems more likely. I don’t get why someone would be walking around the cabin tho. They didn’t attack Mallory and idk what they could investigate there. I thought maybe Anya was a real person who was visiting Teddy, but he said she’s invisible, so idek

I’m getting serious The Housemaid vibes from this book. I’m super put off by how much the mom wants Mallory to work for them. Mallory seems rlly sweet, but what about her stands out so much? Rlly weird. I’m also worried that Teddy is clinging to her so quickly bc he doesn’t have other adults he can trust. Curious if/how the study at the beginning comes into play. Also what is up with that imaginary friend?

That’s so sad oh my god. Dude Brian was a good kid before Leland fucked him up. Even now he was making sure to keep his brother safe. It’s also so interesting that the baseball card appeared differently to other people. I wonder how that differs between items. Lenny said Hugh’s fox tail was beaten up and stuff.

That’s actually so frustrating and honestly a failure of the station. At least listen to what the caller is saying first before hanging up. Multiple people don’t need to help John at the same time. That’s why they have multiple employees.

I hate how these people are being asked to play tricks involving letters, but when they receive strange or upsetting letters themselves, it doesn’t occur to them that they could be a victim of the same scheme. If Leland has full control over people and is able to fully manipulate their minds, the story would be unsatisfying because there is no light at the end of the tunnel. There has to be a caveat
