this is the worst book known to mankind. everytime i pick this up, it makes me yearn to read Das Kapital (which is not natural or normal).

yall my dog ate my book so now i have to temporarily dnf until my hardcover comes in the mail...unironically, this is very on brand with the contents of the novel - iykyk

so i read the first line of this novel and had to put it down it's that gut wrenching and painful , already feel like this is gonna be the type of novel i read and think abt for my entire life

my fav type of characters in 19th century lit: over-dramatic and hypochondriac fathers
