Fairly standard info for someone with an interest or background in politics. I am liking how clear the authors are making the connections between the challenges of poverty. Each thing impacts the next and next and next, making it impossible (or at least feel impossible) to escape poverty and its detriments to your wellbeing.

I am going to grieve this book when it’s done I am so invested in this family. Also thank u Abraham Verghese for teaching me abt Kerala bc I gained brownie points and interesting conversation with a Malayali person

I love detailed but easily digestible novels thank you! I think it’s very interesting that some of our main characters are nameless. I wonder why. I’m nonetheless very invested in them. I’m also excited to see how the two POVs ultimately (I assume) converge.
