After the first ten chapters, I’m struggling with the writing style of this book. The prose feels choppy and disjointed, making the story hard to follow and emotionally uneven. The audiobook delivery lacks emotion, which dulls the impact. While the experiences described are heartbreaking—especially given how young the author was—the lack of structure and depth weakens an important story.
