I think I’m gonna have to take a break from this series now that I’m going home for a while—I think I’m losing my mind. In retrospect, I’ve learned a lot of new words. The author has a surprisingly rich vocabulary.

I usually do not laugh out loud when reading something that the authors wants to put across as funny, so I’m genuinely surprised I find this series thoroughly entertaining.

I’m in the process of rereading all of her works because I have a feeling (wishful thinking?) she may be announcing some new project. In any case, Grace Draven’s work brings me such comfort. (I say that while I’m overwhelmed by a moving scene.)

I am rereading some of my favourites ones.

‘you won’t change human beings if you forget to raise the standard of consciousness of the rank-and-file’

‘what is fascism if not colonialism when rooted in a traditionally colonialist country?’
