Officially want to DNF at this point bc it’s making me dreary on my limited off time but I’ll just blast through to the end

Masterfully written!! This author is so good at embodying every single one of the characters POVs that he writes from. Like it feels like it’s actually a 16 year old boy, or a 50 year old mom, or a tenured history professor. Literally read over half of this (not short) book just last night

Listening on audiobook and physically cringing so much that I’ve been pretending I’m on the phone on my AirPods so I can yell back at the character and make faces and cringe lol

Sped through this book like crazy but the last portion is dragging a little / I’m flipping through rather than savoring

Can’t put this book down but also so so sad

I finished 26% within 1 day of starting, am really enjoying! I will always love a children adjacent / fantasy ish book

This book is very good so far, wow it feels so nice to read a good book after like perhaps 10+ shizzy rom coms

This book is so not good yet somehow it’s kept me reading to 70% cuz I am genuinely curious what’s gonna happen. The MC is soooo obstinate and stupid it’s incredibly annoying. So many glaringly obvious inserts by the author that MC should have clocked ASAP, which yes is how books work but gosh it’s really not good. Anyways will see how it ends

So much of this book makes my heart sad 😭

Listening to cringey rom coms as audiobooks is my new favorite thing apparently. Honestly this has been more enjoyable than expected so far, other than the full body physical cringes i endure every time the author proselytizes about how “massive and huge and ginormous” the love interest is. Lol I’m literally cringing so much as I type this. Other than that, enjoyable character and plot development

I lovee the alternating POVs, I was surprised at how quickly I started empathizing with unlikable characters. I’m quite enjoying so far; my one gripe is that 1) Priya really irritates me and is unlikable, 2) all of her fake passion for medicine is poorly written IMO (simply because author doesn’t have background in medicine), 3) I really cannot stand her lol

Wow I’m tearing through this. It’s taken me forever to finally open it but now that I’ve started I’m pleasantly surprised and can’t stop

Excited to read a book about young women during partition but my goodness, third person present tense narration really grates on me
