I respect that even though there is a lot of emphasis on kindness and the importance of small acts of generosity in a cruel world in this series…it also frequently acknowledges that sometimes abusers just gotta fucking die

listen people give SJM shit for her frequent descriptions of gross body functions but i have to say it is weirdly refreshing to have characters dealing with periods in a fantasy setting

ok i don’t understand the hate for this book. like it is really good. maybe it’s bc ive read LOTR and ASOIAF but spending whole books in a new setting with a smaller cast of characters doesn’t bother me in fact it intrigues me!! chaol is actually growing and making me like him again, and i love the ladies of course 💃🙏
