Cheryl is reading Battle Lines (Department 19, #3)
I liked this book a lot just as I've liked the others in the series . I can't wait to get to the last two.

So far the book has been good, written a little differently that I was expecting, with a little more ease to get through. It has evoked raw emotions through the unfortunate picture that poverty leads to crime. Because, what other option is there when you are already working yourself to the bone?

also, this book is not 304 pages, it is 297 pages... :/

Cheryl is reading Battle of the Ampere (Michael Vey, #3)
So again, there are several inconsistencies in this book but I totally love it. What I don't love, is that I just found out that this is only number 3 of 7!! So bummed. This is why I don't start a series until it is done. SIGH. well. I will finish 4 then just wait for the rest. :(

Cheryl is reading Ruby Red (Precious Stone Trilogy, #1)
not sure what the heck the author is doing with the whole crazy poem thing at the start of each chapter, but I don't like it. The book however is not too bad.

So far it is about a stupid selfish girl, and I can't put it down. It is supposed to be like winning the lottery and she does. Great... Cliches here we come.

I am soooo pissed this is also a trilogy! Really though I am upset that it is an unfinished one. I LOVE this book so far more than the razorland series. Perhaps because I have dealt with depression and understand some of its nuances.

so far a very disjointed and poorly written book. It is a good premise but poorly executed.

So far it is good, I mean I can see both sides and am frustrated beyond belief at each side. But the author uses RIDICULOUS words like apocryphal (doubtful of authorship/authenticity) or ecumenical (universal) or charnel (repository for dead bodies), etc. This is unneeded and unnecessary. So not a huge fan. Of course this is a school book I am being forced to read, so I may not have been a big fan anyways...
