Karen Kingsbury is my most-read author. However, this is the first non-fiction book I've read of hers. "Diary of a Dream" tells a true murder story - and, so far, it's fascinating!

After the "conclusion" the book has continued & is now telling about some very unique college & university experiences. A lot of research should be done before choosing a college, & this book gives some amazing insights!

Not only have I learned about this "genealogy mystery", but the book has also dealt (a LOT) with the history of mental institutes & now with the Holocaust in Ukraine which started in 1941. A fascinating, though incredibly sad, story!

With a daughter in high school, I found the title of this book interesting. My daughter is homeschooled & I've really been interested in the sections of this book that have to do with online learning. There are college course that are FREE online that my daughter can take for high school. There are also parts of this book I just skim over, but overall I'm enjoying it.

As a genealogist, I'm loving the 'genealogy mystery' of this book. As a history lover, I'm loving the history of mental institutions found in this book. And, I'm surprised at the length! It'll take me about 9 hours to read the entire book. Enjoying it!

I'm reading this as recommended in a 6 week genealogy writing course I'm taking where we are practicing writing the stories of our ancestors. This book is humorous, but so far has a lot more to do with getting published (which I'm not interested in) than learning to write well. I'm kind of having to make myself read at this point. Maybe it'll get to a place where it is more helpful to me.

I believe this is my 4th book by Lisa See and, though I'm enjoying it, I've liked the others better. The characters in this book are a little 'naughtier.' Also, there are 3 main characters and the chapters switch between them. It took me a LONG time to get the 3 girls straight!

I'm reading this for a new book club I joined and, I'll be honest, I didn't even know who Ali Wentworth was! Anyway, there have been parts of the book I've enjoyed so far, but overall I don't care much for her humor. I'm just trying to get through it so I can discuss it later this week!

I have read, by far, more books by Karen Kingsbury than any other author. However, I finally got tired of her books which were so often about the Baxter family. But, I found some newer books that aren't about the Baxters! And, I found this book which is the 3rd in a series I'd started years ago. I'm enjoying it and enjoying reading Kingsbury again!

This book sure sounds familiar, but I don't really remember it. I wonder if I did read it years ago? Anyway, I'm enjoying it but working on finishing another book at the same time so it'll take awhile.

I bought this book for $1.99 through Book Bub a couple of days ago. This is my first book by J. A. Jance and the crime story is similar to one of my favorite author's, Michael Connelly. So far, I'm really enjoying it!

I haven't had a lot of time to read lately, but I'm really enjoying this book. So far, it has spanned the time of WWI to WWII which is the time frame we are at in our history class.

I read the first two chapters this morning. I'm really excited about this book! Already, it has been full of adventure! The first two chapters covered some of the history of China in the late 1800's/early 1900's and the Boxer Rebellion! I'd heard of the rebellion, but didn't know much about it. Now, I'm eager to learn more!

I started this book last night and already, at only 24% completed, I've cried 3 or 4 times! This is a tear-jerker! It's about a loving husband & father who unexpectedly dies. But, his family doesn't know about the secret he's kept.... So far, I'm loving it! I hope it continues to be fantastic! I can hardly put it down, but I must.

I haven't read the first book in this series, A Time to Kill. I tried to read it a few days ago, but the subject matter was beyond what I wanted to read (the horribly vicious rape of a young black girl). But, so far this book has been a lot easier to handle. I've read just a few books by Grisham, and I'm enjoying this one.

My daughter & I are studying the Civil War in our homeschool. We started "Across Five Aprils" today. Wow! So far, this is turning out to be a wonderful book - both as a review of our studies and as a wonderful piece of historical fiction. I think it is really bringing history to life! Can't wait to continue tomorrow...

I thought this book started a little slow, but am really enjoying it now. It is unusually written - it pretends to be an abridged version of a book which doesn't really exist. And, it is quite humorous. Can't wait to read some more!

Michael Connelly is one of my favorite authors. I've read more than 15 of his books. But, this is the first book based on the character of Mickey Haller. And, so far, I'm not liking it near as much! In fact, I would almost put it down... but I'm going to trust that I'll like it by the end. We will see!
