Very conventional hero's journey, which is why many compare it to the likes of Star Wars; there's nothing particularly surprising or extraordinary about this book, but that's kinda what I like about it. So far, the characters seem weird sometimes, like they are not driven by their humanity but by the will of the author, who easily justifies their actions while writing, since that's what he wants them to do.
