I just could care less about the characters. Also, the sexist writing really got to me. Female characters are one-dimensional sexualized figures from male perspective. The writer may have been trying to reflect the time period as it’s in first person, but I can’t with it.
Got to page 102 and couldn’t finish. And I’m ok with that—so many other books and so little time.
