listening to this as an audiobook... whenever i heard the narrator say that before heparin they used to use Teflon in order to prevent blood clots in fistulas my jaw physically dropped.

i didn’t finish this book nor did i rate it two stars!! my goodreads keeps glitching idk what’s going on im only on page 132 and so far its a five star book for me

every time i try to read any type of christian text just for the sake of it i am constantly confronted with sexism where it need not be. this book is good and i will work through it, but i think that the constant harping on and on about how different men and women are in religious texts is not only unhelpful and unproductive but counterproductive to understanding humanity by constantly trying to divide it

this is exactly what i needed rn

wait i forgot this guy is lowkey a homophobic misogynist and that’s why i rated this book 2 stars originally. his prose is so good i wish he wasn’t a bigot

I checked this book out from the library because I had heard good things about the author… as soon as I started reading it though the first page said that I should listen to it instead.

i started listening to the audiobook while i picked up around my house and i’m so glad i decided to consume it in this way. i feel like it’s talking me off a cliff i didn’t even realize i was on

i wish i would’ve read this years ago

i could work my entire life to write something as eloquent as this and i would never come close
