Series-jamie was already amazing, but seriously, book-jamie is a whole other thing and I AM HERE FOR IT!
I did not meet a man like this in a great many books I've read for a long time now...
Don't get me wrong, I love a good enemies to lovers (like with my boy rowan), but this compassionate and slightly awkward thing gets me just as well.
Also reading a romance like this knowing love hits different to before. <3

I'm missing a lot of worldbuilding, I am not a fan of this first person pov lacking so much emotion (i need to bond with the character and her story before the action happens and we start to complain about our live).
Also, girl get over the boy who clearly sees you as a sister not a love interest, it’s a little pathetic. BUT ALSO LIKE WHERE IS HIS COMMON HUMAN SENSE, AT LEAST TELL THE GIRL YOU DON'T LOVE HER! MEN!

You don’t deserve forgiveness just because you say sorry after hurling the most hurtful things at someone, especially not if it’s clearly a pattern of something you do, whenever you experience big emotions. That thing with Chaol deciding that Nesryn may not keep on any promises she made, and may not hold him to his, but that he will hold himself to it is such a stupid and displaced sentiment. I mean I get where he’s coming from but it's not like Nesryn was playing games before, she always says and said what she mentioned.
Great communication, Chaol. Also love him taking it all out on Yrene, really shows his character
