Excellent transcribing of the Buckley vs Gore "debates" in 1968. At one point Buckley got so mad he threatened to (and almost did except his broken collarbone prevented it) punch Vidal and called him a "queer." It was nice to see high level discussions between intellectuals even though they did seem to have lost their composure.

Intriguing but not as much as I had hoped. I have stopped reading it several times.

Nearly done despite technical difficulties and reading two other books. Very interesting and very enlightening; a great foil for modern University, Professors, and textbooks.

Very enlightening book; it covers s huge swath of history about which I was ignorant.
