The banter is well written and the characters are genuinely amusing, enjoying this thus far

What a delight, Garak is a bi/pan icon and I’m here for it. I was worried this would come across more so as fanfiction and shallow, but I am very pleased that the depth and complexity of Garak is not lost in translation from screen to paper

I love the drama, victor is so extra

Natasha: I have seen scary monster who tried to kill me (twice) but clearly that’s not the threat, I know better, the janitor who worked at my sister’s college and lives near where she disappeared is clearly the Real Threat and The Murderer.

WHAT

Della is an interesting character but my goodness Natasha is so grating. She is so quick to go full throttle ‘this is clearly the murderer snd I will make them pay’ at the slightest suspicion/vague relation to her dead sister. ‘Someone worked at her school, lives near where she disappeared, and saw her often? thats the murderer, get my knife lets go dispense justice.’

The song ‘end of the beginning’ by djo is playing as I read this, specifically the lines:

‘And when I’m back in Chicago, I feel it
Another version of me, I was in it
I wave goodbye to the end of beginning’

Gives you a vague idea of the story

I cannot believe this man slandered mole rats in both this book and I Contain Multitudes 😭😭😭

If i had a nickel for every time I read a book that referenced the fact that termites need a bacterium in their gut in order to digest wood, I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird it happened twice
