I'm at the high action point of the book getting closer to the end, but I'm really struggling to make it through. I find myself way more into reading the domestic, fluffy scenes instead with Hua Cheng and Xie Lian.

About a decade after reading Habibi, I am so happy to crack open another graphic novel from Craig Thompson.

Ahh I'm so damn confused as to what's going on. The book was going and going and then suddenly ANCIENT CHINESE LORE DROPS left and right!! It's so hard to keep everything straight.

I mean, I'm at book 6 out of 8 now so I don't know why I should be surprised that Xie Lian is finally realizing who Hua Cheng is and how long he's been in his life, but the way it's been revealed felt so sudden. Also, I know how many people love Mu Qing, but I seriously just want to bash his head through Feng Xin's and at this point I don't know if the reconciliation arc will be enough for me to simmer down.

To be honest, this Mount Tonglu arc is boring the shit out of me.

...Is this where people started shipping Black Water and the Wind Master or do I gotta wait? Toxic yaoi? Also, Qi Rong continues to make me laugh and I've highlighted so many of his lines in my book. I really hope he gets a redemption arc.
