This man knows what he’s talking about and he’s on the side of women. Honestly everyone can use this book to navigate the common pitfalls of modern dating, even if you’re a Christian.

Reminding myself that even in Ignatian 30-day retreat, the weeks do not mean literally 7 days in a week… so it is with me with this 30-day personal retreat 🤣

Listening on audiobook. So far it felt like listening to a friend talking about her memories of her beloved mother and how food is involved in it.

Wow the author's got so many tips on going minimalist, and he made it brief for each points so it doesn't go round and round.. totally true to his proposed concept, even to his writings

"the Offering to Merciful Love not only consoles the Heart of Jesus, but it also (paradoxically) heals our hearts by wounding them with love." A heart that have compassion for others.

Wow.

"until we can receive with an open heart, we are never really giving with an open heart. When we attach judgment to receiving help, we knowingly or unknowingly attach judgment to giving help."

is Brené a Christian? I felt like a lot of what she's sharing here is so aligned to Christian views.

Day 9 and will be making the act of consecration on July 16, The Feast of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, which is so lovely bcs St. Therese herself was a Carmelite. Fr. Michael Gaitley writes short chapters with care.

Day 28 - If discouragement overwhelms you, think of the faith of Joseph; if anxiety has its grip on you, think of the hope of Joseph; if exasperation or hatred seizes you, think of the love of Joseph, who was the first man to set eyes on the human face of God in the person of the Infant conceived by the Holy Spirit in the womb of the Virgin Mary.

I've been called out too many times by Fr. Jacques. I really wished I read this sooner. I read this verrry slowly because of the depth of his writings regarding how Holy Spirit works. Also debunks a lot of my false thinking. Gosh!

Another kind of spiritual reading where you can not read it swiftly because how the writings are corelated to you. I always pictured I am the prodigal son, but reading the hurt the elder son experience... Proves how oblivious we are of him, also how he is in each of us too.
