Holy run-on sentences. Get to the freaking point already. Is Pete and Steve in a pissing contest of who can get a higher word count?? I’m not having fun at all. Why did I choose THIS book to read out loud to my husband??

Amazing premise. I am thinking over the last ten years of my life and wondering what it would feel like to lose all memory of them. Why does this book make me want to cry? 😭

Good grief. What kind of self-indulgent bullshit am I reading. I love SK and PS so I have faith this will get better.

I love and adore Tom’s writing style. But this one was boring as hell. And the relish in bashing got pretty redundant towards the end.

I can’t say for sure, since I’m a 50 year old woman, but this book reads like someone cosplaying a teenage boy.

If I have to hear about Celia’s “hair fanned on the pillow” one more time I’m going to puke.

I REALLY dislike the character, Monique. She seems like an idiot and the first time she meets with Evelyn does NOT make me believe she would be chosen to write this biography.

I have to keep reminding myself that this is obviously written for teenagers. It’s sweet but also very cringey. I like it enough to keep reading. But I wish I’d known before I started the target audience. I need to vet my books better.

Oh cool. A book about rich, entitled, angry teenagers.

I’m entertained. But wtf with describing Greg and his effects on women… Even lesbians want him? Ridiculously stupid and almost made me quit reading.

I’m glad I’m almost finished with this book.

Ugh I hate that I finish every book I start.

I understand that dialogue is a challenge for an author. This one does not get it right. It’s awkward and not believable. The story seems interesting enough though.

Although the book is really well written; I love the gothic and poetic prose, the characters remain flat. I am beginning to think that the forgeries are the main characters. They have more depth to them than any other. And they’re completely fake. Or maybe I just don’t like Nicole or Will or Henry. I happen to despise lies, and their forgeries to me are despicable. Deeply despicable.

This book is second in a series, yet does standalone. I loved the first line “We all die alive”. Without revealing anything about the character introduced in the first chapter, who seems to be a victim of a horrific crime, I was suspicious of him. Impressive! I’m not super excited that a “pick me” girl type of character has now been introduced. I won’t judge too quickly. But just an observation.

I could read this book forever. Beautiful, immersive, descriptive, heart breaking, funny, and deep.

A book with adult themes written for children. Idk how I’m going to finish this drivel. I hope it gets better. Ugh.
