it’s such a fun way to start the book, almost like we’re seeing the plot move forward only when the two main characters meet, i love gideon and rune together

why have i been putting off reading this book??? this is going to be my favourite of 2026, i think, we’ll see

throwback to high school when i was forced to read books in this old school language and now i read them for fun (?)

i thought it would be more difficult to read, like the emily wilde series, but it’s surprisingly easy? and sucks you in right away, i already love the main characters, it’s not overdelivering with details and history, feels really balanced when it comes to character- vs plot-driven

i haven’t had time to read recently and i feel like i’m not liking this book enough because of that
