Guess who finally started a book on the last evening of her trip she had planned to use to catch up on her reading goal?

I’m on 36% and not hating on anything yet? Might I even say I’m experiencing some mild enjoyment? Call the news!!

Forgot it takes a while to get used to Sally Rooney’s writing style but once you’re there you’re there. Can’t wait to read the rest.

I’m mad that sleep is a necessity which means that I have to stop reading. So much has already happened and I’m only halfway through the book.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the info pages at the beginning describing the hierarchy between colors + their roles and the dramatis personae 👏🏻

Did I start reading a 4th book? Yes…. But ‘heated rivalry’ got me out of a reading slump and I’m hoping this book will do the same bc it’s a BAD slump

This one is also going back on the shelf for now. It’s just sitting there staring at me from the ‘currently reading’ pile and I know I’m not continuing it soon so she’s going back for now. I will read this when I’m in the mood for this kind of fantasy but now is not her time.

I’m going into this book completely blind. I saw a post on social media saying to read this book blind, and as it turns out, I don’t have a mind of my own 😃 so I’m listening to this random person online. I have no knowledge of genre, themes or whatever, all I know is the title. Let us be surprised!!

Putting this one back on the shelf. I need a certain level of concentration and comprehension that I haven’t had lately, so I’ll pick it up again later
