Ok Ok, I get it. Have the author get off his damn high-horse. There are bad and prejudiced people in this world, and there are people who want to destroy anyone who is perceived as different. But, I don't need a sci-fi writer to lay it on so thick that I want to puke for his "holier than thou" story.

OK, so there is an entire heard of self-important and downright abusive bear shifters who play an integral part in this book. Although they are a significant part of the book, I have decided to ignore the bear shifter characters. If I focus on their stupidity, I fear that I would throw my iPad through the wall, and it is not worth it for this poor story.

Is this the same author who wrote the first book in this series, or is there a shadow author on this book. This reads a lot like a BDSM book and I HATE HATE HATE HATE that genre. get the point of what I am thinking about this book.

Robin is experiencing terrible pain as he is being impaled on a cock that is way too big for his virgin hole, and his "mate" bites his ear and says, in words or thoughts, just take it since you are my bitch. I am really really hating this book.

This book is completely different from book 1 in the series and that is not a good thing. As of page 43, I am hating this book, and I do not like where it is heading.

What a load of pompous crap! I think positive reviews were sucked into some delusion that this book is supposed to be great literature just because it is written by someone who says things with fifty words when it could have been said with two words. I'll give it another few chapter -- it had better get significantly better.

Not sure what I think of the attempt to reconcile with Theo's father. I think I would cut off certain body parts, and then say "thank you very much" apology is now accepted.

Really nice prequel to the spy vs. spook series so far.

Cowboy story . . . My favorite! Good character development so far. I think I'm going to like this.

Ok story, strange presentation, but let me see how it goes.

Story is pretty good, but the author is over-writing it to show us all that he has a good vocabulary. For example, Cliff's sister Allyson stops early one morning to "have it out" with Dusty -- she calls him a "fag", and he ends up calling her a "harridan". When you have to look up a word to see if it is an insult, when he should be calling her a c*nt or a bitch, it is not realistic dialogue.

Why does Cliff have an aversion to being called cute?

I am so pissed off about the ignorance in this story. As a government attorney, I am personally offended by the content of this portion of the story, and I apologize to any reader who believes that this is the way that the CPS system functions. I am ashamed that this author believes this is the way it functions. The author's presentation would result in a multimillion dollar civil rights violation claim.

Bad research by the author -- that CPS worker would be fired if she acted as she does in the book, and she would be setting up the County CPS system for a huge lawsuit. Maybe, the author should have spoken to a county attorney before he wrote about this section of the story. Not good, not good.

Ok. This is where the story gets stupid. Working for the government, I can assure you that there is no way that CPS would remove a child from a home without a damn good reason that is fully supported by facts and normally after a hearing.

This is a very good book so far -- a single "parent" and a wonderful an fall in love. Let's see where this church conflict shows up (although, I can sort of see how it is going to arise).

One third through the book, and, so far, not getting hit over the head by too much religious dogma.

OK. Bad typos really tick me off. Got to page 61 of the e-book, and the editor didn't catch one main character's name substituted for another. Rex is supposed to be talking (and Josh is not in the room), and then the text says, "Josh thought a minute and then smiled . . . ". ARGH!!!!

Are you kidding me? Can't any novel thes days make it from beginning to end without a mugging? or a bashing? Isn't there some other plot twist?

There is something strange with the relationship between the two MCs and Derrick, the ex.

Kiss you ex in front of your present boyfriend, and you talk about your prior sex life together, and you still live together? Hmmmmm . . .

Hmmm . . . Trevor and Derrick kiss each other on the lips when saying good night? Hmmmmm......

This is one of my favorite series. It took a few chapters to get everyone's names down, but now it's like I'm reading about old friends again. Loving the relaxed pace of the book!

I just read the scene with Ken at the farm. I don't understand what another reviewer said about it making no sense. It was an ideal scene that raised the tension level of the book to a fever pitch, and it also bonded the little Iowa family together. Loved it!

Don't believe that there aren't any hot love scenes in this book. There are incredibly passionate and romantic love scenes!
