Needs to be required reading for anyone who calls themself a feminist, and non-negotiable for those in the AR movement too. I could write a whole second thesis on how this intersects with gyn/ecology and the sexual politics of meat and aphro-ism.

I have read more books than I have eaten meals in the last 48 hours

This is the worst thing I’ve read possibly in my entire life. I genuinely feel bad for anyone who read this and had their mind blown or whatever because it’s all unscientific bullshit written by someone with no industry expertise whatsoever. Like literally all nonsense that has been disproven time and time again. I have a headache

I started reading but then learned the author married his wife when she was 15 and he was almost 30 and tbh I don’t care how decorated he is or how good his writing is I’m too sickened to read his work now.

So well written and explained but difficult to read because it really makes you think about how much the world SUCKS… men need to be reading this because it formalizes what they perceive as the subjective and purely anecdotal experiences of women into what they really are - products of a world that is quite literally not designed for us, and sometimes designed to actively hamper us

If I keep reading books that make me cry for a whole day I’m going to explode

Completely seriously so far I’m not understand why this book has such a low rating. You definitely need to look past a bit of cheesy self love and gender stereotyping but so far I still feel better understood by this book than by any medical professional I have seen. Like in tears within the first few pages. So far it seems pretty well backed by science and extremely reasonable. LOVE LOVE LOVE
