Damn, I hope this picks up. So far, so slow. 😩 I'm really struggling.

First off, not liking the FMC so far. She's too confident. As in, irritatingly so.

Secondly, the bullying seems a bit excessive and superfluous. There's no background for the way they're bullying her, and the way they're bullying just seems extreme, if it's simply because she has no powers and therefore is an easy target. Hope we get a bit more context.

I would have DNFd it, but I'm gonna give it a shot.

55 percent into this book, and the most exciting thing that has happened was an armed robbery where the FMC blackout. ✌️

Kinda hope it picks up soon.

I actually enjoyed the book up until the third act break up happened. That was just irritating, but tbh, not out of character. I hate that it didn't surprise me and I hate that it happened like that. 😩

So far I'm highly entertained by this book. Surprisingly so. 🙌

So far I'm not enjoying this. The similarities to FBAA is insane. Hiding Nyktos' character after introducing him in The Crown of Gilded Bones seems extremely redundant. And the lack of build-up is unexpected. What I actually enjoyed in FBAA was getting to know Poppy, but here we get romance right away - and to be honest, not the best romance. 😬🙈
