I overall always enjoy the books by this author, and this one was a 5 star for me. If I can be entertained and also learn about Canadian history, it’s a win for me. I found Marion’s character particularly interesting, while Sassy was slightly annoying, and immature, but her role moved the story forward.
This was an interesting time period not often explored from a Canadian perspective in fiction.
