Rereading because:
1) I read it in a shitty translation into my native language more than 12 years ago. It's only right to read it again in English.
2) I remember liking it, but aside from some key moments, I remember nothing else.
3) I'm very curious why I rated Books 4 & 5 two stars and dropped the series 🤔
4) I'm in the mood for hot vampires (and a hot dhampir)

Do not believe this book's cover and blurb. They're horribly cheesy and don't match the story at all. It's a ghost paranormal historical romance with murder mystery, and it's very fun so far, the main characters and their banter are great.

Looks like I'm on a streak of 2-3 star books. Feels bad.

Damn, I feel sorry for Vhalla. With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Also, to whoever said that this book doesn't have a love triangle - I hope your pillow is warm on both sides today. At least this kind of a love triangle I can tolerate, as Vhalla only has eyes for one man.

Omg a talking cat sidekick! That's automatically 10/10 for me

Finally some good freaking food, I'd nearly given up on this anthology. Until December by Kelly Andrew is easily 5/5, fantastic. I want a full-fledged novel.

Wonderful book!

The constant use of the words "fuck" and "fucking" completely ruins the immersion for me.

I want to DNF this :(
