It’s a little slow. The story is building (hopefully). Nothing much has happened so far even though I’m 35% in and this is a second and last book in the series. Elara’s plan to kill Wale sounds too straightforward to be true because Wale is not stupid. Let’s see.

It is not as gripping as Fourth Wing. I am getting bored and zoning out. Feels too lengthy.

I feel bad for Jane. I cannot understand what she is feeling but I can tell that whatever she’s going through as a 10 year old is just heartbreaking. I hate her aunt, I hate John and his sisters and the maids, oh my god. I want to continue reading the book and at the same time I don’t want to learn about her struggles that too at such a young age.

Going ok so far. No ups or downs. Neutral. Dain is irritating as usual.

The course thing where they had to hike and stuff, well that was boring. So far, it’s fine. Nothing interesting is happening.

I am loving the Aegon angle. I think it’s gonna be interesting and exciting.
Tension between Xaden and Vi is definitely going up. Even though they’ve been together, it’s still there somehow which is spicy to read.
Brennon is alive and going strong. Great to see him. I am worried about Mira a little bit. Let’s see.

H6: The french guy was an idiot. Good she left him and could spend time with Celia.
And Harry 💔💔💔 Heartbreaking. I don’t think I can get over his death.

H7: Robert was a sweetie ❤️ He stayed with her till the end, his end💔
Seeing your child suffer is the most devastating thing a person could go through.
Harry then Celia then Connor. Omg 😓
And the twist. That was sad too.

H5: Harrryyyy!!❤️ It was such a good setup. 4 of them living as neighbors. Perfect! Ok, here, I think Ev should’ve talked to Celia about the scene. She made a mistake. But then Celia’s always been insecure.
Also, John dies☹️ I feel sorry for Harry. He is so considerate and understanding. Love him so much! He is a great father, too!

H4: You know what, I lost count lol. Marriage with Rex was a contract so it didn’t feel like the previous ones. But a couple of good things came out of this marriage are- they made lots of money from the 3 movies they did together and Ev and Harry decided to get married and have kids as best friends. That was the sweetest thing so far!

H3: Mick. He was such a bore and too much of a smug, brat. But eh, Ev got what she wanted out of their one night stand.
One sad thing was, Ev and Celia’s breakup. In today’s world, it is very difficult to imagine that homosexuality was considered a crime. I just can’t believe it, maybe I can imagine it. Anyway, that was the saddest part so far, for both of them.

H2: Oh the second husband. Don was such an ass. I was not expecting this. Domestic violence, oh my god! That to on her, the unbreakable. Anyway, that was a shocker. But yeah I kinda get it from her part because she needed work and everything.
Also, the lesbian angle was surprising. Celia seems cute, sweet and good for her.

Also, Monique is doing goood!

Wow! I cannot put this down! EH is so charming, beautiful and intimidating in the best way possible. Love her! She is so brave and knows what she wants and gets it. I respect her already.

Just finished H1: Ernie Diaz. Things she has gone through and things she did to get where she is right now in the story is justified. I don’t think she took advantage of Ernie at all. Even if she did in any way, justified!

Now we are getting somewhere. First 50% slow af. The next 10% picked up the pace. I am feeling the chemistry between the King and Ellara.
Tbh, I didn’t really feel any chemistry between Ellara and Vale ( idk the spelling), and the story was kinda going in their direction but no😌.

The pace is slow. I am still not hooked.

Chapter 06: When Vernon carried Harry’s trolley to the platform, it almost felt like he is showing some kindness but no. Anyway, Harry figured it out. Weasleys are so cute!
The train ride fun. Hermione’s entry was irritating tbh😂. Even I wouldn’t be friends with her at first.
Loving Ron!
Them eating everything was sweet.
Well, Draco is such a bully from the beginning.
They finally reached Hogwarts!

Chapter 05: Finally Diagon Alley!!! Intro to Draco was just perfect. I could imagine that brattiness. It’s funny how you can tell what the person is like just by looking at them, talking to them for a bit, observing them for a few moments.
Hedwig is here!!
When Ollivander asked Hagrid if he still uses magic and the way Hagrid clasped his pink umbrella was so cute😂
And the wand story..chills!

Chapter 04: I am surprised at Vernon’s audacity to insult Dumbledore, no empathy for Harry about his parents, even Petunia, I mean Lily was her sister. Wtf!
It’s funny that Vernon tried to stop Harry from going to Hogwarts. As if😂.
I feel bad for Hagrid and him not being able to use magic and he got expelled.
Anyway, excited for Harry now!

Chapter 03: This chapter was a bit long, but didn’t feel like it at all. Loved reading everything.The story build up was good. It is so funny that Vernon thinks if they drive around or live somewhere remote will confuse the magic folks😂. They obviously have magic GPS lol.
I loved how they panicked and moved Harry to a bedroom and also, ignored Dudley after they started getting letters.

Chapter 02: Well, I hate the Dursleys. I feel bad for Harry in this chapter. Nobody cares for him, not enough food, not letting him do anything, literally anything.
I understand that they don’t want anything to do with the magic world but you don’t have any decency, empathy for the boy?! You don’t need to be mean. Be human at least. Hate them!😐

The story sounds somewhat interesting so far. Let’s see.

Chapter 01: Loved Dumbledore in this. He’s always been funny but I never noticed that it started from the very first chapter!
Also, reading-reading it after a long time. It’s gonna be an amazing ride!
