my hypothesis at this stage: 独眼鹰 infected 陆必行 with the 彩虹病毒 on purpose to act as a pain killer for when they transplanted his brain into a different body (following the science behind the 女娲计划). they did that to protect his identity as 陆信’s son from being exposed - as we saw earlier in the book, 林静恒 even scanned him with 湛卢 and didn’t find a link.
