I thought this book would be inspiring to read, but instead so far it has been very difficult to get through. Instead of feeling inspired I feel shame and a deep sadness about the extent of cruelty that humans are capable of inflicting upon one another

The dissolution of barriers through the flattening of identity by way of money/capitalism and its ability to make everything a commodity and thus making everything the same is destroying the existence of the other. The other is what allows us to experience metaphorical death and personal transformation, a death of the ego being more powerful than death of life itself. 🤓☝️
