Astrid Rennier is who I assume is going to be Gabriel’s love interest, a sister Priory but didn’t choose this life apparently. Gabriel picked out Justice, his horse, gifted by Abbott Khalid. Gabriel was initiated into the order with a silver tattoo to his hand then an older warrior’s “red thirst” became too strong that he chose to die.

Gabriel arrives at the Ordo Argent high up on a mountain with a massive cathedral. Met a blacksmith Baptiste Sa-Ismael, who gifted him his Lionclaw sword. Gabriel also is now aware his dad was a vampire so he is a pale blood (half&half). Aaron de Coste, still a jerk, is showing him around.

Leena, Finn, and Lenny rescue Paedyn out in the desert and capture Kai. They are now heading back to Dor

“Sticky” is the theme here. Paedyn crossed the desert to Dor and killed a guard who tried to save her then tried to kill her for the reward. Kai showed up a day or two later and split up from the imperials to blend and search for Paedyn since the locals hate elites. Paedyn is about to enter an underground fighting ring to earn some money.

At this point I thinks it’s obvious that the Ancient Wisdom is Seraphine

I believe that Variety is Cressida. She’s claims to have two older sisters like the Queen sisters

They land on Hedotis (isle of wisdom) and are greeted by Faris “the second of the triumvirate”. His wife Talia turns out to be Xaden’s mother 🤯. Also the muted colors of the town are heavily noted.

Violet, Tairn, and Andarna are the only ones who can speak to each other on the isles. Might have something to do with Violet being a pure source of magic.

As punishment for deserting, Jesina was given some bs test they knew she would fail. Grady assigned her to the squad for finding Andarnas kind. Second Krovlan uprising was supported by an isle kingdom. They need Dain to retrieve research from Biolets father hidden away in here parents old room.

Theophanie asks Violet which chose her first, the one who gifted her the power of the sky or the irid. Which is Latin for iris or the plant. The iris changes to allow or restrict light. Not sure if this is a hint to violets second signet

Violet mentions how endless her power feels beyond the wards.
