Halfway through it and I don’t know if I like it or hate it bc I’ve considered putting this down twice now.

I don’t think it’s bad but for some reason the more pages I flip the more icky I feel. 🥴

I had so much expectation and so far it’s falling short

I mean it started off great. The opening was really good but a few chapters in and I’m not feeling this girl. She’s too bothered by her aloneness and at times sounds predatory. She’s not that far into patheticland and that’s what worries me.

I'm starting to lose interest with the 'She's my mate but I don't want a mate' dialogue of this alien. Give me a break, I can find this guy on every corner of earth. Give me something here.

I swear I'm done with all this "i do this and after that i wear this and then i go there then I feel this" writing and the "'i'm not a bad person i just do bad shit' then go on convincing us throughout the book that, they, indeed are" characters.

I feel like my 12-year old niece could do better than "I turn on my Bose speaker and the annoying voice tells me it’s now connected." Jezzuz

As far as action-romance go, I don’t think this is one. (Maybe I’m just assuming this is an action/thriller-romance). The push and pull can tire u out eventually especially if there’s no big interference happening. A lot of mystery, men lurking in the shadows, secrets of the past, that pile on top of each other like bricks. Too many questions with no answer in sight.
