Finally I got this book! I've been wanting it for sooo long. Will start it after finishing the Bollier Book.

Its kinda goofy? Like the scene where one of the characters talks about Queers in waitress jobs is really funny, even if they use the f-slur, idk it has something very real and surreal about it. Let's see where this ends up. Also why is he lying about his wealth? Really a class traitor tbh.

Interessant om de formatie van kabinet den Uyl vanuit een rechtse/VVD perspectief te zien. Veel nieuwe inzichten.

I like the spinozian idea they use for joy, meaning an increase in one's capacities. Talks in the first chapter about the importance of friendships in liberation. I like it.

Awesome book

"An unforgettable person is not of necessity one whom we dare not forget. We can't simply call parents and children or friends or the teachers and others to whom we are obligated "unforgettable people". These are people "whom we dare not forget". But then there are others-complete strangers-to whom we are bound by neither love nor duty. Forgetting them would imply neither neglect of duty nor want of compassion."

This book is cute and has some interesting stories which surprise me. The one about the factory town is really funny

I like it, but Kimmener uses a lot of words that I don't know in her chapters, most probably relating to plants. So as a non native (also to the US!) English speaker that is a bit hard. Finished a chapter and am wondering if we can create any practical guidelines to follow in our lives to be more in line with our values. Is such a thing already out there?

This book is awesome, and hard to lay away.

The book is fun, but also the dialogue that sofie has with the philosophy teacher is very unfunny at times. It seems like the author just wanted to write about philosophy and is cramming or forcing non natural dialogue to get through it... I am liking it though, and learning a lot about philosophy.
