keeping track of 9 characters is a lot

247/383 pages and what’s happened? 1 thing. and it JUST happened. Like where is the action, come on. and some of this writing is just so silly to me.

again… i only care about the 1970s POV… Nearly halfway through the book and nothing crazy has happened since the initial accident

this section of the book is very boring

The book so far is super busy, things just happening one after the other… but in a busy way. I like it.

I don’t normally post quotes, but this one really stood out to me (for context, the character is talking about a penis):

“The thing … seemed to endow its owner with such incredible power and privileges: he could drive a car, wear a cowboy hat, snore on the … sofa, speak at the table, exist.”

everything’s happening all at once so fast SLOW DOWN

so far i LOVE it

minus the whole “covid” thing, but then at some point the “covid” thing made me feel even worse for some of the characters and gave me a new perspective.

guys i hate when books mention current real-world events. this one mentions covid. LIKE NO! GET OUT!
