Already so in love with Lydias confidence and her banter.

This starts out like a thriller in a very dystopian and oppressive society. Really don't know if I want to stomach that in the current political situation.

There was a chance for a 3AB and it got denied by good communication!

As always with McKay, this is so much more. Everything is THICK with meaning and emotion.

This is just over the top and fun. And it works all too well for its ridiculous setup. :D

Both women are DENSE AF. I have high hopes for the third act.

Already had tears in my eyes. This will be hard.

I don't now why, but somehow this is.. kinda.. boring? I have honest problems identifyng my problems with the book.

Started this audio book in the hope it would be similar to "Eve of destruction".

The story moves at a glacial pace. There is slow burn and there is getting overtaken by a slug.

The narrator does a really good job at creating different voices for each person, but most of the times they sound pretty cliché. Not sure if I'll finish this. :/

Evelyn has a lead on her missing parents. Yrisiels help costs Evelyn dearly: she has to wear pre-approved dresses for a month. The crew helps to distract Evelyn from her bad mood and an archeologial dig turns out to be more than it seems.

Among all the rescued slaves is a Dragoness, which gave Evelyn instant-headaches. To avoid a draconic war Evelyn gets in contact with the draconic treasurer and comes home with a trial by combat against the head of another draconic clan. During her time of preparation wishmagic keeps everything far from quiet. :D

uuuuuhhhhhh... this is showing it's age. Peer pressure, near to no inhibitions, very, very questionable consent. Phew.

Princess Vonya got abducted and Evelyn activated RAGE. Some poor gangsters got slaughtered, the royal guard got freed. The crews tries to distract Evelyn and help through her emotions. The girls throw themselves into training and getting better and helpfull.

The adventures of a new fledgling team in the arenas of Skaloth are fun. We get to know a little bit more about Evelyns past. There are mostly mini-adventures in this part of the book, but they are all good natured and develop each character to a degree. Flashes into different perspectives across the cluster tease the greater story closer of Adept of Chaos.

I enjoy the simple things. A powerful main character walking around, doing things, while everyone elses jaws a dropping. :D
