chapter 5, the myths of anti-psychiatry provided much needed context about the variety of anti-psych arguments (which are often in conflict with each other) and provided a thorough critique of szasz which was very helpful for understanding why the anti-psych movement failed to create lasting change in the abolition of the asylum. and instead led to reinforcing other forms of incarceration.
