The narrator is fantastic. He does some wonderful impressions of all the Star Wars characters from the original trilogy.

Listening to this on Audible right now - it's such a good read. The narrator combined with various Star Wars sound effects feels like I'm living a Star Wars story.

Really enjoying this book. While there are similarities to Lord of the Rings, it feels very much its own world and characters. Fully hooked now.

Good opening. Feels a lot like the opening of Lord of the Rings. Lots of lore, a secret past, and a looming shadow on the horizon.

Reminds me of the movie Jurassic Park, "are there any Aliens in your Aliens book?"

Honestly, very well written so far - great characters. Just kind of boring so far.

Well written that feels trendy. So far about a seventeen year old fan-girling over slasher movies to strangers before trying to off herself. Entertaining but also kind of meh

Interesting vibe - ghost hunters are on the island and the creep factor is slowly ramping up. Honestly, would have enjoyed the mystery without the opening scene.

Wow - this is kind of a Sleepless in Seattle with a ghost being the matchmaker

The introduction to the island was a little over the top but the book rebounds nicely. With the team assembled, they are heading to the island. I am sure nothing bad will happen.

Definitely a little hokey ghost story but the great characters make up for it.

It’s okay - well written and psychological horror. I was hoping for more of a haunted house type book

Listening on Audible. In Chapter 4 - Love the writing style. Chapters 1-3 were brutal. The descriptions of child abuse were so disturbing I almost put this down.

Not really scary at all - more of a mystery which makes sense for Barbara Michaels (aka Elizabeth Peters)
